Did you know more people commit suicide per year with a fork than they do with a gun? It is pretty apparent the world is in a healthcare pandemic. We are growing sicker and sicker with problems ranging from obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. It is so sad to witness the control Satan has over the food and health industries. He is killing God’s people at an increasingly younger age, or crippling them from fulfilling the calling on their lives.
God revealed the Genesis of this issue through our abiding in Him.
Here is where He led us…to the fall of man….let us explain. Through which physical act did the fall of man occur? It was through the act of eating a forbidden fruit. It was here that we permitted Satan to gain entry, and he has yet to relinquish his plan of destruction within this area of our lives. Now, more than ever, he has more power. What is his motive? To kill, steal and destroy. How does he do this? Through the addictive power food possesses over people.
Most people do not even realize or want to face the fact that they have an addiction. That, yes, there is such a thing as food addiction. Take sugar for example. Sugar is a drug, a legal drug. Research shows it is actually more addictive than cocaine, and it is found, along with carcinogenic preservatives, in almost all foods produced inside an American food factory. But, for decades, people were kept in the dark away from this truth. Instead, we naively placed our trust in governmental bodies to monitor our health and well-being. A lesson learned through hindsight–nothing is monitored justly when there is a profit to be gained.
We, at Hunt Strong Worldwide Ministries, are deeply passionate about this issue because we see how members of our families, our friends, and the global church body are suffering. We see how their legacies for Christ are being stifled and cut short. We see the pain on loved one’s faces as they spiral down in depression and health. This is not the abundant life Christ calls us to. There is so much more for us as His children. We know the truth, we see the truth, and we want to share it.
As a result, Christ led us to form an apostolic ministry in which we speak this message to His church; which is sick and hurting. Hunt Strong is a message about choosing a lifestyle; one that is self-sustaining, focusing on longevity and quality of life, one that aligns with His Holy Word. We pray that through our sharing of the truth; of how to surrender and seek Him, how to properly eat and exercise, that His church will strengthen and will go out to be the hands and feet of Christ as we have been called to do. The time is now to deny our false self, to pick up our cross, and to follow after Him, holding fast to His plow, never to look back again.
