If you have not already done so, take a look at the new season changes in the State of Florida! (The New Florida Hunting Seasons) Some Zones are already in full swing ahead of South Carolina which kicked off their season today.
Talk about being tough! Zone A, which opened on July 31, has a huge jump start on the rest of the zones throughout the state. The temperatures have been extremely high with the feels like at 106 degrees. Yeah, I bet you are sweating just reading this. Wait, don’t forget about the 100% humidity and the mosquitoes that will carry you off too. I bet there are a lot of hunters who usually hunt that zone waiting for it to cool off before they start hunting this year. You have to be tough. Look at it from this perspective, a hunter in Zone A could have already had the opportunity to harvest a Pope and Young buck for the State of Florida and to also make the Florida Buck Registry.
Don’t make excuses that it’s to hot or humid! Get out there and get it done. After all, you should have already been out there scouting and finding or making food sources so you are ready for the hunts. I can’t wait for my zone to open, and I bet you I will be ready! Stay Hydrated and drink plenty of WATER before, during, and after the hunts!
