About Hunt Strong

Hunt Strong is first and foremost a lifestyle; one that is self-sustaining, focusing on longevity and quality of life. It is pretty apparent the United States of America has a healthcare pandemic.  We, as a country, are growing sicker and sicker with problems ranging from obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. It’s so sad to witness the hold Satan has on the food and health industries. He is killing God’s people at a younger age, or crippling them from fulfilling the calling on their lives by giving them health ailments. Did you know that more people commit suicide per year with a fork than they do with a gun?

God revealed the Genesis of this issue to me during one of my morning quiet times with Him.  Here is where He led me…to the fall of man….let me explain. Through which physical act did the fall of man occur? It was through the act of eating a forbidden fruit. Enter Satan. He hasn’t stepped aside from his plan of distraction within this area of our lives. Now, more than ever, he has more power in the industry. What’s his motive? To kill, steal and destroy. How does he do this? One way he does it is through the distraction of food. He gets people hooked on sugar.

Sugar is a drug, a legal drug. Research shows it is actually more addictive than cocaine, and it is found in almost all foods produced inside an American food factory, along with preservatives. People don’t even realize they have an addiction. That yes, there is such a thing as food addiction. We have been blinded from the truth. Instead, we blindly put our trust in governmental bodies to monitor our health and well-being. A lesson to be learned is that nothing is monitored justly when there is a profit to be gained.

I am deeply passionate about this national issue because I see how members of my family, my friends, and my local church body are suffering. I see how their legacies for Christ are being stifled and cut short. I see the pain on their loved one’s faces as they watch them spiral down in depression and health. This is not the abundant life Christ calls us to. There is so much more for us as His children. I know the truth, I see the truth, and I want to share it.

Christ has led me to a form a ministry in which I speak this message to His church; which is sick and hurting. I pray that through my sharing of the truth; of how to surrender and seek Him, how to properly eat and exercise, that His church will strengthen and will go out to be the hands and feet of Christ, as we have been called to do.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”

I grew up competing on the national level in the sport of dance, so I have always lived an athletic and competitive lifestyle.  But it wasn’t until I watched Davie transform himself through our college years together that it started to sink in with what it means to be truly healthy; both inside and out.

The hard part about writing a testimony for anyone is that there is no good place to start. Usually that person has impacted you in a way that is impossible to put into words. So, with that said, I will start with right now. As I sit here typing this in my hotel room I will tell you what I just did. I cooked my breakfast of egg whites and chicken breast on my portable griddle that I travel with. This may sound crazy to everyone and it even sounded crazy to me (still does a little) before I met Davie.

In January 2011, I hit a wall in life. I was looking in the mirror one morning and said, “I can’t stand to look at myself anymore”. Over the past 14 years somehow I had managed to go from a 220 pound gym rat to an almost 300 pound slacker. With a 6’3” frame, no one really called me “fat” but deep down I knew that I was slowly killing myself.

I am not a “hunter” by conventional terms but through training with Davie I have re-defined what “hunter” means to me.

I am a Mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend, and a professional.   In these roles I am a “hunter”; I seek to be the best I can be so I can give my best to those I love.
