There is no doubt that one of the best things about hunting is the comradery between hunters. Nothing can top sharing your own experiences in the great outdoors with friends and family over the crackling of a fire. The bond the hunting brotherhood and sisterhood shares amongst each other is unbreakable. We learn from each other which enables us to be better, more successful hunters. I try to take something positive from every outdoors man and woman I come in contact with. There are some great “out of the box” ideas other hunters practice that enable them to gain an edge on a trophy animal.
I am a firm believer in preparation. If you are prepared at all times, the other component of the equation you are awaiting for is the opportunity to present itself. In this picture taken by Ben Montgomery of the St. Pete Times, my father and I are discussing what the game plan will be for the following hunt the next morning. This is one of the discussions we have every night by the fire that will hopefully help us to be victorious. We have already put the time and effort in scouting out different areas that look promising. Now, we just have to pick the right one. Be optimistic! Hunt Strong, Train to Hunt!
